Quality Policy

We, at SERC, Chennai , commit ourselves to achieve excellence in all our R&D activities and in providing high quality S&T outcomes, in the field of Structural Engineering, to the industry and the society at large.

We aim to be at the cutting edge of science, engineering and technologies through continuous enhancement of knowledge, expertise, facilities and performance towards ensuring safety and sustainability of structures.

	Quality Objectives
*	SERC will strive to follow the Quality Policy towards achieving the goals of the Charter.
*	Publish minimum 50 technical papers in journals/conferences in a year.
*	Achieve a minimum of 1/3 of the human resource component of the budget through externally funded projects.
*	Conduct at least one national seminar / two advanced courses in a year
*	Sponsor minimum 25% of scientists and technical staff for participating in training programmes/courses/ seminars in a year as part of HRD activities.
*	Extend facilities for minimum of 15 post graduate students in a year for undertaking their thesis/project work.
